Custom Moto X Shipping Times

So i ordered a custom moto x from moto maker today and was wondering if anyone had realtime experience with how long they take to ship once the order is placed. I am going out of town this weekend and was hoping to have the phone before I leave.

I ordered Friday morning and it's out for delivery today. They pad their delivery dates but it's much quicker and they sent out my last 2 phones overnight.

Hi RadYO - I'm waiting for delivery of my custom Moto X too! I could not resist the $100 off deal, so I ordered the 32 gb version on Saturday. What colors did you get? I tried to stay conservative and did not get the engraving, or custom boot screen so that I could sell it easily. Mine is woven white, white front and blue accents. Kinda boring, but it was so hard to decide otherwise. It is still being assembled, with an estimated delivery date of Feb 8. Hopefully, it will be here before that, since the 8th is a Saturday, and that means waiting until Monday here.
 
Hi JK!

I hate to admit but i've had several. Royal Blue Back/white Front/Silver accents...my wife is using that now. Had the woven black/black/blue which looked great but sold it to get walnut/black/silver...LOL. The one being delivered today is a replacement order, first one has a "scratch" on the wood.

Good choice on the woven, the other back looks like it picks up dirt easier.

You should get it sooner. The date on my email said estimated delivery was Feb 11.

I agree, at these prices for a new phone off contract, you really can't go wrong. BTW, the boot screen with your name can be erased if you choose on reset. I saw it on the first one I bought then added it on the orders after.

Do you still have your Maxx?

I was tempted by the wood backs - that's for sure. I was looking at the teak/white/silver combo. It looked really classy!

Yes - I still have my Maxx. I basically love it, but I still say it's an awkward shape/size. If I like this X, I will probably activate the Maxx for my husband. It will be his first smartphone!
 
I agree about the awkward. That's the best way to put it. I do still have my Ultra which I really like, just wish it was 32GB and I might not have bought the wood X.

I just spoke with Motorola Customer Care and they are going to expedite for me. I am switching from the iPhone 5s so very excited. I got a white face, navy back and orange accents. Trying to go for something different!
 
First Android phone? I hope you like it. It's much more customizable than an iPhone. Not bashing it, I also have an ipad and ipod at home so I've used both.

I look forward to hearing your opinion when you get it!

I have been looking for a good replacement to the IP5S. Cant stand ios7. I have tried the G2, S4, and even the N5. This is the closest to the form factor of the IP5S with bigger screen and still being able to use one hand.

Make sure that you turn off wifi, and are using your cellular connection (3g, LTE, etc) before turning off iMessage. The steps that have been successful for me are:
1) turn off Wifi
2) go to settings>messages>send & receive and sign out of your Apple ID
3) turn off iMessage
4) check in Messages app that contacts with iPhones have Text Message in the box next to send

Before I started using this sequence, I used to have lots of problems receiving texts from my friends with iPhones right after switching to my Android handset.
 
Ordered mine yesterday (2/9), fingers crossed it's a speedy process. I'd love to have it by Valentine's day.
 
Ordered mine 2/4 shipped on 2/6. Was set for delivery on 2/7 but weather delays caused to deliver on 2/10. Still haven't seen the phone in person since I am out of town

Just curious, what part of the country are you in? I'm in CA, got the "We're assembling it" email yesterday afternoon. Still waiting on an email saying they've shipped it. Can't wait to get this phone in my hands! :)
 
I ordered mine monday night 2/10, email of the assembly starting next day 2/11, got email last night that it was shipped and said too look for it friday 2/14 which is today, but fedex says not till monday 2/17 :/ most likely due to the massive Nor Easter we had yesterday.... stupid snow... delayed my phone and i also have to shovel the 2 feet of wet snow :mad:

but anyways! i went some what simple, I went with a black back and front with the metalic blue accents. I even got the engraving, with "GLaDOS V3.5" cuz I love portal ^_^ and the ok google now is the closest thing i have to having an AI companion in my phone XD
