Swamprink
Lurker
Lenovo Tab 4 10 with 7.1.1 - 2 of them, in fact, since I've replaced it, and both did this.
The alarm in the native clock app works fine except the only ringtones available in this version are - um - well - "tinkerbellish". No sounds that a self-respecting adult would use, so I imported one through a couple of different 3rd party apps (I don't see any way the system itself allows that). I use "buzzer.ogg" on an earlier version Lenovo tablet - which does the job. Each time, once the sound file is set as an alarm ringtone, and selected in the clock app, the app loses its mind. It gets confused about all of its alarm settings (not just the ringtone setting). It flashes its "active" slide on and off, and if you change the alarm time, it flashes back and forth with the old, and new times. It seems to store several versions of the changed alarm entry, and can't figure out which to use.
The custom ringtone is set as the default alarm in the system settings when it is imported, and if I go in and re-select one of the native ringtones, the clock app is restored to sanity. If I then try to select the custom ringtone in the clock app, it ignores my selection, and auto-selects the default system selection. Manually selecting the custom ringtone in the system settings sets the clock app into crazy mode.
