Custom Ringtone

I am able to set a custom mp3 ringtone for all callers from the mp3 options, but not for contact's numbers. When I go into Ringtone under the contact it allows me to select a custom ringtone, but the list only shows the default phone ringtones. I want to select an mp3 from my music folder. Any ideas?
