Custom Ringtones?

Ive been an iPhone user since it came out and I just switched to Droid about 5 days ago but one thing that's pissin me off is ringtones, with the iPhone I could just convert it to M4R and drag it into "tones" in iTunes and good to go, with this device I can't seem to figure out what format ringtones are, any help?

IIRC my phone takes plain old AAC, MP3 and OGG files, no conversion needed. Just drag 'n' drop and you're done.

so plug in the phone sand bring up the android app then just drag em into the ringtone folder?
