Help custom ROM help.

Alright, WO a couple of days ago I rooted my galaxy s3 and installed the gummy ROM, then Google play services wouldn't work so I did a factory reset, now I'm stuck with the gummy ROM , and no Google play services and I'm unable to install .apk files because my phone can't read them. What do I do?

Hello Jayjones!
Perhaps there is a GAPPS package that needs to be flashed after the rom flash?
Not familiar with the Gummy Rom, but is that rom an AOSP rom?

Well I think part of the problem is the root I had, I downloaded towel root which is an app that roots your phone with a tap of a button, but after the factory reset, its gone so I don't have root access.

Gummy Rom should already have root built in, no need to use towelroot at all(Haven't used it a in a while but wasn't development stopped?). Did you flash an appropriate Gapps package a.k.a correct one for the version of android and up to date version? As for not reading apks, what do you mean(Are you getting a parsing error?) Your best bet is to do a clean install of the rom.

When ever I try to install an apk an error pops up saying that it cannot read the file. When I did the factory reset it deleted Google play and everything of that nature. Only apps I have are the preinstalled ones.

When you installed the rom you didnt flash a Gapps package? It would be best for you to reinstall the rom + flash a gapps package
