Root Custom Rom Request - micromax a87

Yes no fear - do anything , but waiting for custom rom,, current rom has no
useless apk so wait...... What is in new custom rom???
 
ready to test it. we rely nid a custom rom for a87. considering its ram is bit disadvntage. other hardwares are very good onli ram is a dissapointment here..
would like to thank itzmiandy for providing the stock rom guide. has been rely helpful. thanks again please make a custom rom please!! all the very best. :-)

Is it true we need the custom recovery working for flashing the custom rom. Any guys i see lots of views but no replies here. That mean lots of people want the ROM.

I dont think many devs have seen this. how do we reach out and ask them for help. i think itzmiandy could help. developers please any ideas.

Yes, you need custom recovery to install custom roms..

The recovery that you have right now is the android recovery 3e and it does not have an option to backup and also it will not allow you to flash any other rom other than the one that is signed by micromax.

I am working on getting cwm recovery to work on our device or to disable the signature verification on the current recovery but have not been successful yet.

Once we are successful with the recovery, we can port as many roms as we liike. I have some awesome updates in mind but we need CWM recovery first :-(

I tried using the koush recovery builder. I flashed the recovery.img file i got. on getting into the recovery mode i get only a white screen. I am just a newbie but very keen to get this working.

Hi any chance the recovery for A75 or A100 would work ?

No they wont..

I have already tried recoveries of more than 20 phones..

Tried to build recovery using the builder by Koush..

Tried to port atleast 5 recoveries from different models..

It just doesn't work. Now I am in the process of setting up the source to build a recovery from source.. If that fails I will break this phone and probably go for a samsung..:mad:
 
Go for it mate. i think most of would have to move to samsung if this doesnt work. hoping this would work.

just a thought would other recoveries like amon, twtz, androidini, etc work. pardon my ignorance, just too keen to get this working mate.

The stock recovery flashes only after checking for the official signature in the stock rom. Is it possible to change the signature in the custom rom to the official signature available in the stock rom. This might lead the stock recovery to think that the custom rom is the official rom and would end up flashing the custom rom.

Would this work ?

I don't think there is a way to extract the signature from the stock rom...

You need to get it from Micromax. If we get the signature then signing the custom rom will not be a problem.
 
I am guessing custom recovery from source is the only way. I tried a few recoveries tried flashing with fastboot etc nothing seems to work.

SO no pressure :-) but you can do it ITZMIANDY u r the only hope. any help u need pm me.

when u open the stock recovery using winrar
it says signed by apksigner
if that's some help for signature
(for quick rooting stuff)

BTW I saw in xda about the MMX A100
that its a clone on k touch s757

we should check what is our phone made of ;-)
