How do I change my user interface after root; and is that called theming? I downloaded go launcher but after I installed a theme my home screen is all blacked out so I uninstalled it. I installed twrp manager and when I boot into recovery it's twrp. I had my old phone rooted like 4 years ago and I remember I downloaded something that completely changed my user interface and I don't remember how I did that. I've been given links to the xda developers guides but I've either gotten more stupid over the last 4 years or I'm just not finding what I'm looking for. Anybody have some info for me?

I downloaded both the Cyanogen mod build and the Cyanogen mod recovery but I don't see any instructions. Do I only flash 1, both, in which order?

Yes, there might be a installer available but you still do need root access. If you have that that already you can Google search for s3 installer for cm. Even then you're going to get an old version of cm so I personally recommend doing it from the computer the right way... root->twrp recovery-> Wipe-> flash CM rom and gapps package. Make sure to flash the correct gapps package for the rom you choose to flash.
