Custom Wooden Covers/Cases - Your thoughts

I personally love the blend of real wood and electronic devices, I decided on the Asus u43jc notebook mostly because it's made with bamboo, the tactile experience and warmth of a well used wooden trackpad/palmrests makes using it a pleasure every time.
Lately I've been wishing that my Atrix had that same feel to it . So I've been thinking about ways to create custom-fit, stylish, durable cases for any device, e-readers, phone, tablets, laptops, portable HDD's, you name it.
Before I go any further into this I was curious as to what you guys think about wood cases for your electronics, what would you be willing to pay for a hand crafted case, custom-built, engraved, coloured, weighted, etc to your personal preferences?

I'll provide you with a few pictures to give you an idea of what i'm talking about. These are all of course in production, but don't exist outside of Apple.

I think it's a cool look, not a fan of the box type of set up though, I more like the idea of the second picture (the one where the wood is stuck to the back of the phone). I'd like something that would wrap around the phone though but you'd need to use a wood material with a bit of flex or something it can slide into with a discreet latch to lock it in (wish i had an app for print screening whats in my head lol).

I like the look of combining organic materials with modern technology too, it's like a very subtle version of steampunk. For me it would have to be like a skin for the device more than a case or box it sits in. It'd need to be thin, light and fit very snug around the device.
