Root CYANOGENMOD for Galaxy Ace(S5830)

Hi,

Just wanna ask what is the most stable cyanogenmod version for our ace? a link would be nice :)
(or any custom rom available out there)

flashed this one,
[DEV] CyanogenMod 10.2 - Stable (03- 10 -13)[ARMV6-PROJECT] - xda-developers

but I keep getting 'google play unfortunately stopped' message :(

and also, if I want to let's say upgrade from CM10.2 to CM11 or downgrade from CM10.2 to CM7, do I only need to wipe/reset then flash the CM zip/gapps ?

Most stable one would be the CM7.2, others all have troubles, mostly because of the hardware limitations, they lag a lot and cause things to not work properly and cause problems like bugs and random reboots.
Wipe/reset is not the recommended way of flashing, its a high chance that you will get bugs with that.
If you want a clean install without going all the way back to stock via odin, rooting again and flashing and so on, you need to format all the data, system and cache partitions before flashing the rom's zip file.
Your gplay problem is probably because of an unclean install. Check your flashing procedure and the gapps package.

thanks..
so if im planning to reverting back to cm7.2 (using cm10.2)

im goin to clean system/cache/partition then im good to flash the cm7.2 zip?

Format system, cache and data partitions along with dalvik cache before installing every rom, always gives the best results. But if you are simply updating a rom then you can just use the wipe/reset but still its preferable to format all, you can make a nandroid backup of your data, flash the update with all format then restore the data back.

Can someone explain the differences between the nightly builds and the last stable version of CM (7.2)?

I've searched for a changelog, but can't seem to find one. I take it the last nightly builds (latest being cm-7-20130301-NIGHTLY-cooper) are based on 7.2 stable with a few tweaks? I am keen to find the differences, and would be very grateful if someone could point me toward a changelog.
