Cyanogenmod for Unknown Device

[Android Question]

Greetings,
I recently owned an android with the following specs:
-> Model No: Micromax A87
-> Android Version: 2.3.5
-> Kernel Version: 2.6.38.6-perf+
-> CPU - 1GHz
-> RAM: 256 MB

I looked up Cyanogenmod website but I couldn't find a suiatable ROM for it. I found a custom made one from Cyanogenmod's source but I prefer from the Cyanogenmod devs.

Can you tell me which Cyanogenmod rom will be safe to flash for this mobile?

Hello and welcome to Android Forums. Hopefully I can help you with your problem.

Only Cyanogen ROMs made specifically for your device are safe to flash. Installing any other ROM not marked for your device is asking for trouble. Some will work but the vast majority will fail, most resulting in a bricked device.

I DO NOT ADVISE FLASHING ANY ROM NOT MADE SPECIFICALLY FOR YOUR DEVICE!!

Perhaps you'd be open to considering a non-CM ROM,as it appears that there is no official support by CM for this phone.
