Help D2G Dialer.apk

I have the Droid 2 Global. Before tonight, i bought it as a wifi device, like an itouch. i rooted it, and uninstalled many apps i would not need. At the time, i figured i would never use it for a phone. Tonight, my sister broke hers. I needed to give her my spare, so i switched to droid. During my uninstalling frenzy.. i removed the Dialer. I have no way of calling verizon to activate the phone.. so i am pissed since i signed up for the 2GB data plan. please help, either with a step by step (simple) explanation as to how i can get it back ( i did not back it up) or a zipped Dialer.apk

Here is a link to the one for the Bionic. I'm not positive it'll work for your D2G, but it's worth a shot.

I clicked the link, and clicked the link for the dialer download. I have it on my phone, only it does not install. (Asks "do you wnt to install?" And shows all permissions and then i click okay and it shows the blue loading bar.. but fails each time. This happened before when I tried to install Contacts and the related apks from my backup...
Am i doing it wrong? What could i be doing.

I would just flash the .sbf with RSD lite.
Use the correct one for you current version 2.3.3 or 2.3.4
