So today at work, I'm sitting in the break room at 5:00 PM watching SportsCenter on my Droid (aka showing off Flash).
5:55 PM I tune into ESPN Radio Los Angeles (710 KSPN) on A Online Radio, getting ready to listen to the Laker game while I work.
6:00 PM there's a data outage, and I lose my signal completely. A few minutes later I get a weak signal back but no 3G/1X. I **** around with it for a good 20 minutes before I give up and get back to work.
7:00 PM it's lunch break and the Laker game is at half time. I talk to a friend and find out his Verizon phone is getting no 3G signal either. I call em up and find out data is out in the area and there's no estimated time til it's back up.
Meanwhile as I dick around with my phone waiting for 3G to return, I text a few friends 10-15 miles away with no 3G problems whatsoever.
9:30 PM I'm on my next break. Finally data is working. Too bad the game's been over for the last 30 min.
What a coincidence that the data connection "went down" for the entire duration of the Lakers game then swiftly comes back up after it's over.
If they do this crap again during game 5 I'm calling and asking for my $30/mo back.
