Root Darth Vader when switching cell towers

Just wondering -

Anytime I flash any CM/AOSP based ROM (Non TW) the voice on the other end at times sounds like Darth Vader. This mostly occurs when Im driving home and I believe the phone switched cell towers.

Just wondering if Im the only one. I tend to stay on TW ROMs cause my wife sounds freaky as Darth.
