Help Data crash

[Data usage crashes]

I have been trying to access data usage in the settings app but it keeps on crashing every time. Noticed that when the sim card is removed I am able to access data usage and see data usage from Wi-Fi. I've tried everything, from hard reset to wipe catche partitions. Anyone with a solution?

I am currently using Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Got the update through ota. Nexus 5.

This is quite the long shot since the original post is rather old, but... I've got the exact same thing happening on my Idol 4 (down to the "works without sim card" detail). Were you able to figure out the problem?
