DATA RECOVERY FOR LG VISTA

Dropped my LG vista in the toilet over a year ago and a technician checked it out for me and said it was unrepairable. The screen wouldn’t come on at all and i haven’t tried to power it on for over a year and now the screen comes on suddenly and it’ll make it to the home screen but it’ll say the temperature is too high and it’ll shut off. Does anyone have any advice or suggestions i have a lot of important info and family pix saved to the device i would love to retrieve but i can’t due to the phone not staying on long enough to retrieve it most data recovery requires you to go to the phones settings well that’s impossible if your phones damaged.

I would guess that once the phone dried out completely it was able to boot, but you've probably got some serious corrosion that's making the thermal sensor act up. Or you have a short that makes the circuitry overheat immediately.

Try putting the phone in the freezer for a little bit to chill it down. If that let's it stay on longer, you might try putting some ice in a ziploc bag and letting the phone sit on it while it boots, with a USB cable plugged into your PC and getting as many files off before it shuts down again.

TRIED THE ICE AND PUT IT IN THE FREEZER ALSO NEITHER WORKED ITS STLL INSTANTLY SAYING TOO HOT AND POWERING OFF WOULD IT BE A WAY 2 BYPASS THIS OR REPLACE SOMETHINGINTERNALLY

Without really knowing what's fried, I really doubt it since we know it's not really hot. Have you tried removing the battery and booting strictly while connected to a charger or your PC?

Other than that, Yu might try taking the thing apart and cleaning anything that looks like corrosion with a q-tip dipped in alcohol (definitely NOT water or soap).

I REMOVED THE BATTERY AND TRIED TO BOOT UP WITH THE USB AND ALL ITS DOING IS VIBRATING AND ACTING LIKE ITS LOADING UP BUT IT NEVER DOES IM GOING TO TRY TO CLEAN IT THANKS A MILLION FOR ALL THE ADVICE IM HOPING SOMETHING CAN BE DONE BEING THE STATE THE PHONE WAS IN TO WHERE IT IS NOW
