Data Usage Monitoring

LUGOSCURO

This a part of a letter from Sprint,

We want to make sure you are familiar with the terms under which we provide data services to you. ...found in our general terms and condition of service provide that you can't use our data services with server devices or host computers applications, or other systems that drives continiuous heavy traffic or data sessions. One of the examples provides that our data services may not be used to generate excessive amount of internet traffic through the continuous, unattended streaming, downloading or uploading of videos or other files or to operate hosting services including, but not limited to, web or gaming hosting...

:( I had theter my phone via USB with pdanet app, it is something I can do to spring does not monitor the webpages I go. :(

Please HELP!!!

Thank You

Well, first of all, how much data are you using a month via "illegal" tethering (PDANet)? But, either way, I don't think there is anything you can do.... except start using PDANet Very lightly or start paying the HotSpot fee.

It sounds like Sprint has noticed an excessive amount of data usage from your handset. They seem to be listing the possible ways that might be happening but not directly accusing you of such things. :)

Those are my thoughts on the matter. I can not say for certain if they are accurate, though, as I have never received a warning from Sprint for anything in the past and I do not plan on it for the future. ;)

Thanks,
I will try to protect my IP address to see what happen, I being in this since the Evo came out but without protecting the IP. It is the possibility that has to be with the bills that the law trying to pass. If anything happens I will let know!

I don't think this will make a difference, because it's using bandwidth on Sprint's network via your phone (which they can identify). You're not supposed to be using your tethered phone as a modem without paying the hotspot fee. If you want to keep flying under the radar, you'll need to cut back on your usage.
