Daylight Savings Bug on G1 Eastern Standard

Hey all, checking this out for a friend who has a G1.

I did have a G1 but I switched over to the Motorola Cliq for the extra space, the cool tweaks to the OS, the extra ram and future 2.1 multitouch update. (Yeah, the G1 may get that in the future, but honestly, the lack of ram after the Eclair update was really frustrating and very evident.) I dig the Cliq a lot, and the form factor of the keyboard with the d-pad on the left is PERFECT for all the Yongzh emulators. It sucks that Motorola is taking their sweet time with the 2.1 firmware, but I think it'll be worth the wait.

But that's beside the point - here's what's going on.

He texted me this morning and said that his G1 didn't make the proper adjustments for Daylight Savings March 2010 via the "automatic adjust" feature (he says it's displaying 2 hours ahead).

My Cliq did it automatically and correctly, but the Cliq is still running the 1.5 firmware. Did anybody else with a G1 in Eastern Standard (or any other time zone) have a problem with their clock not displaying properly?

Thanks.
