Apps DDMS not showing my files

Hi guys,

Me and a friend are doing our end of year project. We have ran into an issue where when using DDMS software it doesn't show anything in the file explorer so we cant see if there is anything in the data/data folder. My main question/plee for help is why don't I see anything in the file explorer and how can i fix it?!

I have tried the adb shell and tried making myself super user but not even that helps... :'(

Yes, had problems with that in the beginning but that's sorted. on both of our laptops and phones we have the same problems.
