De-Branded my phone

Hello all,

I originally had a branded 02 - UK firmware.
I debranded my S3 as per these instructions - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1646610
Is this the latest stock firmware?

However since I have debranded my phone, once connected to my PC, Kies' displays a message stating that my phone is not supported by Kies'.
I have the latest version - went to preferences and update to check.

Any ideas on this?

Have you looked on XDA ? I'm not really up on the ins and outs of flashing ROMs.

I'm actually having a look at that forum now. Downloading another firmware to try, if that doesn't work then I'll put the 02 branded one back on it.

How about trying to use the Galaxy S3 Toolkit? I used it and after that Kies worked just fine. I originally was on Three-branded.

Kies will only recognise your phone if you are running a kernel and firmware which was intended for your phone. So if you put a different carrier branded or unbranded from a different region kies will no longer work. Personally I wouldn't worry about it as you will be able to flash the latest unbranded firmware with Odin before most carriers release them.
