Help Dead LCD. Connect to television?

OK, so I did something dumb and cracked my LCD. This is a best guess diagnosis because there is an obvious spot on the glass that looks like it was shot with a BB gun.
The two menu lights at the bottom come on. I am receiving notification of text messages and emails. I have NO display whatsoever.

I have a replacement LCD and front glass coming but I want to know if there's a way to display the phone on a TV? There probably isn't but there should be!

Anyhow, what are my options while I'm waiting on parts?

Any app that connect the phone to TV, will require some kind of actions on the screen to initiate it.

I imagine the easiest way would be with HDTV/ MHL adapter. It's pretty straightforward and doesn't require much screen action, but then again, without the screen working, it won't do much, just mirror it.

MHL mirrors the screen memory so it's worth a shot.

Get the adapter from monoprice.com and also the Samsung adapter to go with it - that route will save you money over the Samsung MHL adapter.
