Dead Phone GT05830

Hadn't used the phone for 2 days.

Tried to power it up but found it dead. Have two batteries which are fine in my sons phone.

PC can see phone as it tells me usb drivers are installed.

Odin can see it.

Can get to Samsung splash screen, emergency dload, but no further.

Can't get to download screen to get Odin to work.

Kies doesn't appear to support the phone last time I tried it.

What can I do?

I did try to root it. Program said it was rooted but could never see anything more than before on the PC

try this:
1 - take out your battery press power and home buttons and, doing that insert battery, see if it goes to recovery menu, then you can wipe data/factory and try again flash stock rom (ODIN), or use backup ( if you have it)

2 - same as before but with Vol Down + Home + Power to enter download mode and connecto to POC and try flash stock rom with odin

3 - same as before but with Vol Down + Vol Up + Home + Power to enter emmergency download mode and connecto to POC and try flash stock rom with odin

4 - Go to repair

Well, if Odin can se it you're safe , flash the right firmware to you phone and start all over again

Am I doing anything wrong?

1:You my have some bad cookies so use a Browser/System cleaner like CCleaner,

2:Get the name of the file and put it on google with the word,letters FTP you may be able to find a direct download.

4:On my S5830i the menu I use to load CWM zip file to the phone(and it must be the zip file and left on the SD card) I get to by pressing the Home+Upvolume and Power Switch combo and as soon as the 1st logo/phone type comes up release the Volume and Power but keep the Home button pressed.
