Decision time

Hello all-

I hate to post another one of these threads, but I need some expert advice here. I've been looking at the smartphone market for years, and now that tax refunds are rolling in, it seems like the perfect time to make the switch.

I've been contemplating the Droid for a while now, due to my wish to have a physical keyboard. However, I when I came to these forums, I start hearing about Devours, Heros, Moments, and many other phones I had never heard of/considered.

Here are my thoughts/requirements:
-Physical keyboard a must
-Verizon preferred
-Flash would be great
-Will be using it mainly for phone/texts/web
-A larger phone would be better than a smaller one
-Sound quality is somewhat important, plan on using it in the car with Grooveshark
-Would like to load emulators on the phone, so some sort of controls that can translate into a gamepad would be preferred

I realize that probably most of these phones meet the description. The thing that prompted me to post was the screenshots of the Devour. I've tried out the Droid and Eris in a Verizon store, and while I liked the Droid for many reasons, the one thing I disliked was the thumb-reaching required to use the keyboard due to the rocker. The Devour looked much more clean, but seeing as I'm looking to make this upgrade in the next 2-3 weeks, I doubt it'll be around in time.

As a side note, this will be the first time I've changed carriers. Is the process of getting a phone number transferred from one carrier to the other as painful as I think it will be?

Thanks to everyone in advance for your input!
