Help default android Clock - volume buttons dont work

Hi,

I am new to android and the moto x is my first phone.
I am very happy to have it, and it works great, except I have one huge problem with the clock - nothing works on this app. Its the default app from android.
I set the alarm, set it to snooze or stop with volume buttons, yet nothing happens.
The phone is locked only with swipe. I also tried to use the volume buttons while the phone was active and it still wont work.

Please let me know what I am doing wrong? I dont wanna use other apps (I like to keep my apps to the minimum and dont need extra features with the clock).

So far waking up with this android clock is a nightmare.

Welcome to Android Forums.

I have the Droid Maxx and looking at the Clock app that is likely similar to yours.

Try this ... in the Clock app select Settings (the three dots in the lower right corner)
Select Settings
Select Volume Buttons

My guess is that it is set to Do nothing and you want to set it to Dismiss

Oh no, I am not that stupid, I set it up straight away to Snooze, didnt work. Reset it to Kill the alarm, didnt work. Tried to push the buttons with screen unlocked, still not working.
