Hi all,
My Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017) is running Nougat 7.0. and I am having troubles with my default notification settings. In the main settings of my phone (Sounds and Vibration > Ringtone > Notifications), I have set it to play Ding-Dong. However, when I get messages from WhatsApp, Instagram and Discord, it plays Grace Note. I have no idea where this Grace Note setting comes from.
So I went into WhatsApp to manually change the notification tone to Ding-Dong, but realized it was set to "Default Notification (Grace Note)". According to my general settings, this should have said "Default Notification (Ding-Dong)". Though I can manually change my WhatsApp notification, I still have Grace Note playing for Instagram and Discord, and I cannot manually change in the app itself.
If it helps with some back story, I had an annoying ringtone from Zedge and I tried to change it back to whatever ringtone came with the phone but I couldn't get rid of the Zedge ringtone. I went for "Reset settings" (which discards ringtones) twice, and it started playing Grace Note in place of the annoying Zedge ringtone. I then opted for factory reset, and like I said, still plays Grace Note instead of Ding-Dong.
