Android Question

I wanted a rooster call as my default notification however I can't find the folder to drag the file into.

Most often you'll find a media folder or one called ringtones or notifications. These folders probably won't contain your default pre-installed tones but they will add any files in there to your relevant lists when choosing though.

A lot of phones will allow you to use music as your ringtone/notification sound so presuming you know where your music is stored, you could just drop the file in that folder instead.

A lot of modern phones are pretty sophisticated in finding any instance of an .mp3 or other sound file no matter where it is put on the phone though.

Just to add, you may need to force the device to re-scan for new media, the simplest way is to reboot the device :thumb:

You might try viewing it in your music player app and long-press it, then select the option to make it a ringtone. Once it's in the ringtone list you may be able to select it for your notifications too.

If you need to discuss this problem further, I suggest you join us in the link in my sig file and head to the forums for your specific device.

Good luck!
