delete a lot of emails at once?

how do I delete a lot of emails at once on my Galaxy S3?

in most email clients, it is possible to either delete multiple emails by selecting delete from the menu and then selecting multiple emails, or long-pressing on emails to select multiples and then clicking the delete option.
