Delete all photos, but NOT contacts..?

I'd like to delete all the photos on my phone to make the space available, but NOT my contacts.

Formatting the disk will delete everything won't it? So what should I do?

Go into Media Gallery and press Menu>Select Items>Menu>Selecta all>Menu>Delete.

Media Gallery is Media Gallery application on Android. Open application drawer and you should find it there.

I figured it out. I don't have Media Gallery, but I've got Gallery, and it's a bit involved but I got there.
