Lurker
hey everyone, i was just wondering how i can delete my downloaded ringtones. i put some ringtones onto my phone through Myxer - Download Ringtones and More (pretty ez and good website to use for phone ringtones), but now the problem is i dont know how to delete those ringtone files. they only place i can find them on my phone is through settings then ringtone tone, but when i press the menu button or just hold down on it nothing shows up in which i can delete the file. anyone kno whats up??

Youll want to trash them right out of the SD card. You can either plug your phone into your computer to delete them, or download any number of file managers from the Market to do so. My personal favorite is Estrongs, and I've heard good things about Linda.

Ringtones should be in /media/ringtones
Notifications should be in /media/notifications

when i go through the sd card, thers nothing in the downloads folder besides 3 picutres that i saved through text messages. when i go to ringotones/notifications through the system folder ,it only has the standard sounds that the droid comes with. anyone know where and how i can delete these ring tones??

thats where i went, but the downloaded ringtones which i downloaded through myxer.com doesn't show up. but if i go to settings and then to call ringtones the downloaded songs are there at the bottom. =\ starting to make me reconsider the phone. lameeee

Or you can consult with Myxer. I don't get how you're making the connection that something a 3rd party company is doing to be the fault of the OS or the phone. Bit of a stretch. But, to each their own uneducated opinion.
