Delete Multiple Emails?

If you are using the default email client, from the combined inbox on the left side of each header should be a greyed out check mark. You click that to select the messages you want to delete and then press the delete button at the bottom right, which should pop up as soon as you check something. It will put the messages in the respective trash folders for each account.

Be advised that this client does NOT have a setting to empty the trash, you must go into each folder, select each message and delete it from there to be totally rid of it. PITA, if you have a boatload of deleted emails.

Now, you have several options. One is not to delete them on your phone and under account settings set the message to not be deleted from the server. When you retrieve the messages using your desktop/laptop or whatever client you normally use, the messages will be removed from your phone the next time it sync's. This is what I do and it works okay ... not great, but okay. You set this by account.

If you want to manage the mail exclusively on your phone, you should look at a more robust email client like K-9 Mail - Android app on AppBrain

I'm using a Legend, with the standard mail app.

To delete multiple emails in the inbox, I...

1. Hit the 'menu' button.
2. Choose the "Delete" option.
3. Rather than selecting each individual email, I
4. Hit the 'menu' button again.
5. Choose "Mark All" (As opposed to "Fark all")
6. Use the 'delete' button.

All gone! :D

That's a Legend. Dunno if it'll work on your phone though.

Cheers!
