deleted contact info, but it still shows up

Samsung Galaxy S3, Android 4.1.2 - I edited my daughter's contact record, removing her old apartment and work address and a couple of phone numbers that no longer applied to her. I've never used anything except the contact app that came with the phone; I clicked on the little "pencil" and deleted what I wanted to delete. It disappeared from the editing view.

But when I display the contact in the normal (non-editing) view, some of the deleted information still shows up. I can go back to the editing view, and it isn't there; exit the editing view, and there it is.

I turned the phone off and back on (being an old Windows guy); that didn't help. Anyone got any other suggestions?

Download "Contact Editor free" by Marten Gajda from the Google Play store and open the contact using Contact Editor to determine whether you have the same contact duplicated on the phone and synced to a Google account at the same time, with the option to remove duplicated entry.
