Deleted gallery. Now no gallery option in lockscreen :-(

Can someone out there please help.
Using 4.1.1
I deleted the gallery because I wanted to use quickpic gallery as an alternative option. In doing so, when I try to access the lock screen and choose which picture to put in the lockscreen the only available option to choose is wallpaper.

Before gallery use to be in here as one of the option. I would have thought quickpic would show up so I can select my own pictures instead of the stock wallpaper pictures.

Is there a way to solve this? Please advise and thank you in advance to the people who responded.

Thanks
Bob

It is likely hardcoded into the manufacturer skin of android you are using that only either a wallpaper or photos from your gallery can be used to set your lock screen pictures.

In order to get your lock screen to have a custom picture (other than your wallpaper) you will need to re-enable or re-install your gallery app, then just set quickpic to be your default. That way you can still select a custom lock screen image, and yet quickpic will be your default gallery app.

Hi Guitar,
Thanks for the reply. Yes I had a feeling I had to reinstall the gallery apk file to reenable it again. I tried to do this but ran into problems.

I copied the gallery.apk file for 4.1 and use a file manager program to install it. I think if i can recall the error that came up was "x error". etc

Is there proper way to reinstall this gallery.apk file to reintablish the link again.
