Deleting apps more easily ??

I'm a bit confused over the relationship between the apps in the playstore's 'My Apps' list and those apps I have actually installed. I assume the apps in Playstore's 'My Apps' list is simply what I have and had ever installed in current and previous phones. Now I want to have a clean out of 'My Apps'.

I want to remove quiet a few applications from 'My Apps' list (a sort of spring clean, not just un-install them from my phone) and its a slow frustrating process doing it from my phone within the play store app. Every time I delete an app from the phones playstore 'My Apps' list I'm brought back to the top of the list and I have to patiently scroll down to where I had left off, and its now even alphabetical sorted. I used to be able to do this more easily from my PC by browsing all my android apps and clicking on the little trash can icon embedded on the app icon. But now this has been removed!!

Google why are you making this more difficult than it need be or used to be?????? in frustration.

Does anyone know how you can easily drop apps from your phone and the Playstore 'My Apps' list without going mad. Let me make this clear I want to be able to remove apps from 'My Apps' list in the playstore even though some of these apps may not be currently be installed on my phone?

In the All list in My Apps ...

Long press on any item that is not installed it grays out all the items that are installed.

Then long press on the ones that are not grayed out to select them.

Then select the X at the top of the screen it will ask permission to delete all the apps you selected.

all in one toolbox permits bulk uninstall. simplifies things greatly. and it will tell you if any app leaves behind some junk on the uninstall, so you can clean that up as well.

as far as play store goes, my version has an "installed" slot, and an "all" slot. anything uninstalled should leave the installed slot. am unaware of any way of deleting from the all slot, though i'd sure like to know. my all slot, since it goes back to the beginning of my android life, is unmanageable.

Ha ha a lot of people in that boat I'm afraid. Thanks for the tip regarding the toolbox :)

Consider that, you might want to revisit some old apps you had in the past.

It helped me a lot when changing between different versions of android & app compatibility.

Long pressing apps in the all slot will allow you to delete them
