Deleting Emails

Hi
I am new to the Android system. I have a Dell Streak, I download emails using the email app, not gmail, and cannot find a way of deleting more than one email at a time.
On my old phone using Express I just cleared the account and everything was deleted, is there a way to do this or something similar.

Good question. I'd like to know this as well. It's either the stock app or the HTC GMail app that I can't figure out how to select multiple emails.
