Help Deleting Offline Google Play Music

Mohaver

Newbie
Is there a way to quickly delete offline songs? I have over 1000 songs and I don't want to sit there longpressing them, then confirming and then deleting. And on the Galaxy S3 I can't find any of the music files in the directory because I'm not rooted. I tried deleting the com.google.play.music file itself, but it didn't do anything.

can you just select the folder and delete it via the file manager?
Nope, that does not work as I don't have root permissions, like I said. However I did find a solution. I went to the task manager and cleared the cache and data for google play music and it cleared all the songs out. Freed up SO much space.

I never found the folder they were saved under. know where they are?

I'm pretty sure Google changed it's location in a recent update to only be able to be found if you are rooted. As I am not rooted I do not know where the folder is. However, as I said in my previous post, if you go to the task manager (the built in one) and go to Google Play Music, you can delete all the info/cache/data that is associated with it. This clears all the music and frees up the space. Hope this helps.
