Deleting old emails

I'm using the stock email app with JB on RHD. I really miss the "delete email from phone after 30 days" like on my DX. I have 5 comcast accounts and I notice I have all my emails since I got the phone in October. I don't want to have to manulaly clean them up. Am I missing a setting here that I used to have on my DX? Not an issue of course for my Gmail accounts.

Thanks.

I think your only option may be to use the "delete when I delete from inbox" under Incoming Settings.

Thanks, but it has nothing to do with that setting. I don't ever want my phone deleting from the server, at least not for a month or more. By that time it's stored on my computer. I was just wondering if that setting "delete messages older than ______" existed somewhere on the RHD like it was on DX. I really don't feel like going back and deleting older emails all the time. It was nice when I never had to deal with that.

Because Comcast still uses POP3, there is no real good solution. The Comcast mail app will mimic an IMAP server (similar to Gmail) but the app is incredibly slow to load and execute. Other than that, I don't think there is much else you can do.

I came from a DX too. I'm on Exchange, so use Touchdown, which has the option you want. If you're not on Exchange, try K9 Mail in the Play Store. Pretty sure it will do what you want for free.

Quite familiar with how it works. I was just suggesting it may be your only option given the circumstances.
