Dell Dimension 3100 - Video Card Upgrade

Hi there.

I wonder if anyone here can help.

I have a friend who has a Dell Dimension 3100 PC with Intel P4 2.8Ghz and 1GB of RAM.

He wants to play Microsoft Flight Simulator X on it but the on-board graphics won't run the game...

So he wants to get a new graphics card to put in there...

Now....I'm not sure if there's a limit to what graphics card I'm able to put on there...

AFter researching...it seems that this is the best that PC can handle...

Newegg.com - HIS Hightech H130HMF128E1N Radeon X1300 512MB (128MB Onboard) 64-bit GDDR2 PCI Express x1 Video Card - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards

Problem is...

1. I live in the UK
2. That's out of stock...

Does anybody know any alternative graphic cards that I could buy?

Or would it be a better idea to just get a newer PC...??

Thanks

Roz

IMHO, it's time for an upgrade. You can get a much better PC out there for very little $$$. You'd be surprised..

Yeah I think that's what I might tell him...

Unless I get him a PCI graphics card....which I've only seen go up to 256mb...

PCI-E x1 are hard to find in the UK.. -_-
