Denver and HSPA+

I've searched all over the web and can't find a good answer. I'm a recent switcher from Android to Apple and folks on the iPhone forums can't seem to give me an answer.

The 4S is supposed to be a HSPA+ compatible phone, but there's no indication that I'm getting the "4G" signal. My SpeedTest results rarely show me going over 1mbps down.

The coverage map shows that I am constantly surrounded by "4G"

Could anyone in the Denver area who has a 4G Android phone post some results? Do Android phones in Denver indicate 4G or 3G signal?

I appreciate any help. I don't know any folks personally who own a 4G phone. Thanks.

the 4s should be getting a icon to indicate a connection to 4G. My Inspire shows an H+ sign to tell me im on the HSPA+.

if you are running at 1meg down then you are not on HSPA+, plus never trust coverage maps from ANY carrier

Thanks. I agree that it should have an indicator, but it doesn't.

I guess I just want to know if anyone in Denver gets faster speeds, because maybe I'm not on the right plan or something. I would have thought a big metro area like this has it.
