The global sticky has gone from the above (and the normal page).

Isthere some change in policy that I am unaware of?

I had 3 very important and regularly updated threads (see the guides / faq link in my signature) that were contained within this sticky.

What is the new policy? can these be stickied please, or can we have the global sticky back?

The root guide that is stickied currently (by LekkY) is so out of date, that method only works on really old desires.

We are re-tooling the sticky's and have gone back to the older method for the most part. You can !report any thread with your suggestions or recommendations or just PM any staff member to take a look OR(lol) just throw some links up in this thread and i'll sticky them for you. Will rely on your advice as to what is/isnt relevant in Desire section

Thanks NightAngel. I have 2 FAQ's and a root guide as per below, that should be stickied.

[Desire FAQ's]
Rooting
Apps2sd+ (a2sd)

[Desire Guides]
Rooting
(UnrEVOked for Windows)

Actually looking at http://androidforums.com/desire-all-things-root/163477-htc-desire-root-guide.html

It is sort of the global sticky (my threads are in there). part of the problem is though, the threads use the forum generated thread title for the link. But I update the thread titles and when I do, the link title breaks.

They would need a [*url=http://urlhere.com]Thread title[*/url] tag really.

Many thanks in advance

Edit> Thanks Nightangle, even better.

Am still interested in hearing ALL your ideas to update lekky's original sticky thread. Let me know what needs taken out/added. Just about to leave work but if you respond here or in PM i will be able to work on it in a couple hours.

I'll create a thread in there and ask the frequenters as it should be a group effort really :)

Thanks. Would also like to hear what everyone thinks about threads being in the guide sticky AND being stuck separately. I'm thinking that is a little redundant....

It does become messy with many stickies. I think its just the case of making the global sticky have a poignant name so people don't just skip over it. But that is only my opinion.
