Desk Clock/Weather App

Hello,

I just converted my HP Touchpad over to Android, and one type of app I was looking for is one that can replace the default "Desk Clock" app with one that shows more than just the date, time, and weather. Ideally I'd like something that could show a scrolling ticker of news or other information.

The reason I am looking for this is I have room on my desk at work to set up the tablet while it is charging so that I can glance at it on a regular basis. Any pointers to free or even paid apps that perform similar functions would be greatly appreciated.

I have the 3D digital weather clock. It shows me the time, date, how cold or warm it is, what tomorrow's weather is going to be as in what the high and low is for tomorrow. I'm not sure if that will help. Hope it does.

I like sense anolog clock... U can set it up to show time. Date. Weather. High low. Battery life. Battery tempurature. How much free ram u have and how much memory is left on ur hard drive.... Also u can assign two apps to it one opens by pressing the minutes and the other by pressing hours... All this in a 4x2 widget and yet somehow doesnt look cluttered...

Right now im using beautiful widgets though because of the tons of different looks u can get with the skins... Its a $2.99 app that u can get for free right now at getjar...

I've found the Sense clock to be perfect. I've got all the extra settings like RAM, battery, battery temp and such all active. It has windspeed and updates as often as you want (every 5 mins, 10 mins,1 hour, 2 hours ewtc)

I appreciate all of the suggestions here, but I am not looking for a widget. I was hoping to find an app that would actually do all of the items I suggested, while preventing the screen from turning off. Ideally I'm thinking of a "dock mode" type of app that I could run when the tablet is plugged in. It doesn't have to be automatically triggered or anything - I am willing to manually start the app.
