desktop app / photo backups

Hi

I hate to use the phrase itunes replacement, so I wont. I'm after an app for the desktop that will mainly sync my photos and videos so that i have a backup of them. If it could do music and (mainly) podcasts that would be great.

I've tried DoubleTwist but it's just too flakey and clearly isn't ready yet (files wont sync but doesn't tell you why, drop outs, crashes etc). I've tried MissingSync which nearly works but quite often the android app says its finished syncing while the desktop app says that it's still got some way left to go.

Any others? Dont mind using a cable to sync, just want to knnow that things are being backed up.

well, this is just for thephoto backup, but i'm using Lookout to auto sync my photos. you get 2gb worth of online storage which is pretty good.

I use Salling Media Sync for my music. It also does podcasts, videos, and photos too I believe, though I don't use it for those.

I use Droid PhoneControl to Drag and Drop files from the SDCard directly onto my Desktop (using WLAN) and to hear Music with my favorite Desktop player (streams from the phone). It syncs used files automatically to a folder on your harddisk (but sadly not automatically all at once, just the ones you double clicked or drag'n dropped).
