A single desktop resolution is 320 x 480, but our beloved Android OS allows for a 3x1 desktop therefore giving 960 x 480 in portrait or 1440x320 in landscape. Now applications in full screen only make use of one of the "virtual" desktops thus giving a single 320x480 resolution.
support to be able to give developers access to the "extended" virtual resolution would be awesome. We could be more creative with out User Interfaces rather than cramming functionality into a limited display.
If the API's were extended to allow us to do this, would you use it?
