Dev1 can't get paid apps?

Am I missing something? I have a Dev1, and there have been no paid apps showing up on it. If I understand right, I need the update to see them. And I can't put the RC33 on the Dev1.

So how do I get paid apps?

This might be a dumb question but why cant you put the new update on your Dev1 phone? Isnt that pretty similiar to the rooted G1?

I'd suggest hitting this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=475381 and installing the ADP builds he has listed. it'll take a few minutes to read through all the instruction, but I slapped on his 1.32 version then 1.41 (pretty sure those are the right version numbers) to my dev phone. I didn't have to wipe or anything.

Now I can get paid apps, and my browser has multi-touch :D

If you have a dev phone you should have gotten an update that contains stuff like lattitude and voice search. If you have lattitude then you have the latest update for the adp1.

If you have those options then you must not be in the us. Right now its either US only or T-mobile only. Im sure they will roll it out to other locals shortly. Its still a bit buggy anyway.

Where did you "get" the update? OTA? I've a Dev phone, not on T-Mobile's network, and I never saw anything. Hence why I just slapped JF's build on it.

I have my Dev 1 on Tmobile (and it was an adventure getting it activated- I bet I have the only dev 1 for hundreds of miles; Louisville, KY area)

I have gotten no update info- and all my reading suggests dire consequences from trying to use other installs... although I have read one way to do it if you have a Mac or Apple. Alas, I caved to business pressure and switched from Amiga to PC years ago, and am trying to regain my geek cred by learning Android OS.

Really? What dire consequences of other installs? I've had JF's build on mine for a few days now and no issues yet.

There was a release to the app market that removed the ability to buy paid apps. This only affects the unlocked phones, DEV1 is an unlocked phone.
