Apps Developing on Windows 7

So, I got a book on teaching me how to develop on the Android OS, and was going to start on it tonight. However, I realized by doing research on the almighty Internet that you can only devleop on XP or Vista as far as Windows OS goes?

Can I do it on 7 because that's all I have.

You can develop on Windows 7 . . It's what I use.
