Device Cleaning apps

Norton antivirus VS Malwarebytes which would you prefer. I purchased a $16.99 one year subscription in Norton's Antivirus app. But I noticed later that Norton's Antivirus didn't do half as much on finding viruses as Malwarebytes does for free had done. Malwarebytes show you where you have compromising device configurations enabled like Developers Mode that can have your device open for hackers to enter. Norton's on the other hand doesn't have that feature but what it does have is a link to Google Play Store that will flag apps that uses a lot of data and flag intrusive Behavior with in a app. Malwarebytes has list it gives on apps thats potentially reading your privacy like location ,contacts ect which Norton's show very few if any. I use Malwarebytes to pick up where Norton's fall short. I shouldn't have to use Malwarebytes sense I paid roughly $17 to use Norton's antivirus app. What's your choice if any?

I always use free applications, as a rule they are not worse than paid ones. My choice is MalewareBytes
