Help Device Friendly name

I see a file in Astro File called "devicefriendlyname". when I open it it just says GT-I9000 in an edit field.

Can I overwrite this with something unique to me? And if I do, where will that show? Is there any point?

Thanks

Can't believe nobody has replied to this question yet.
You can write whatever you like in the edit field. I think it identifies your phone over bluetooth and that's about it.

Cheers

I found this as well!
I thought it might change the message at the start (it says GT-9000 when it turns on) but it didn't work. That's probably a graphic.

Anyway, you're probably right, it's probably some default name for pairing, but I don't think it's for Bluetooth.
