Device location shared - android device manager

I have started to use a rooted Nexus 4. When I use the Android Device Manager to locate the phone, it does locate the phone. But, it also puts a notification in the pull down screen that says, "Device Location shared.....Android Device Manager located this device". This did not happen on my past rooted Nexus 4. It never showed in the notifications bar. I have unclicked "show notifications" in the settings-apps.

I don't want any thief to know that I have just located the device!

How can I stop these notifications? Thanks.

Did you try this https://support.google.com/plus/answer/2998354?hl=en ? . Usually you can disable location sharing.
