Help Device storage use inaccurate?

Hi,

Has anyone else noticed that the device memory use seems to be inaccurate? (Settings -> Storage)

Here is what mine currently shows under device storage:

• Total Space
  • 12.05 GB
• Apps
  • 1.48 GB
• Pictures, videos
  • 334 MB
• Audio (music, ringtones, podcasts)
  • 220 KB
• Downloads
  • 11.97 MB
• Miscellaneous files
  • 65.51 MB
• Available
  • 9.83 GB

According to my math I think I should have 10.16 GB or so free, not 9.83 GB.

Also, I was surprised to see 334 MB of pictures because I set the camera to store the photos on the SD card not the device memory. If I tap the Pictures, video item then it takes me to the gallery and I verified that the photos in my gallery are on the SD card (/mnt/extSdCard/DCIM). There are no photos under /mnt/sdcard/DCIM. So why is it subtracting the photos on my SD card from my available device memory? So, really I should have like 10.5 GB available if my math is right and the photos are excluded.

i have the same problem. mine says 4.99gb under pictures,videos of the device memory. were you able to fix this problem? if so, how did you do it?

Yeah I get 10.71108651161194 for that :$
