Dhd 2.3?

Anyone hear when this will be available from Telus? I'm getting scared this phone will end up like the Milestone and be a year out of date by the time they update use.

I don't want to root again if I can help it.

I wouldn't compare the Motorola Milestone with HTC, it has been said that HTC will roll out the gingerbread update in Q2 of this year. I also owned the HTC Desire and I believe it was one of the first in Canada to get updated to froyo.

I am starting to get itchy as well when the 2.3 update will roll out. They said sometime in the Spring and Spring only have about a month left now.

The TELUS website is showing that the DHD will be getting upgraded to Gingerbread (2.3) this summer

Great news, the Gingerbread update is out for TELUS for the DHD! I manually checked for updates in: settings, about, software updates. It is 100 MB and so far I really notice a lot more speed and much smoother/fluid animations and scrolling. The notification area is different, has a quick settings tab for access to wifi, bluetooth, etc. Mail has a few different buttons too.

Find any other cool features?

The scrolling through the apps now goes page by page, we now have the battery graph in battery usage, and the battery is supposed to last longer.

So far it looks good. How is the functioning with the wifi. I have been reading on various carriers people were getting some serious issues with their wifi connections since the update. How is everyone else's wifi performing? Any problems to report in general so far?
