Dialing 911 by acident

This is getting irritating and I haven't found an answer anywhere on the internet.
My phone has dialed 911 7 or 8 times in a very short period of time while in my pocket. Sometimes it will show up in recently called and sometimes not.
Anyone have an idea on how to stop this. I'm getting tired of apologizing to the police and wasting their time as well.
This is on a Samsung galaxy S8 Active, but I assume it would apply to any of the Samsung galaxy 8 models.

Do you have a screen lock enabled? That should prevent inadvertent 'pocket' dialing.

Yes, it's like something is bypassing that.
Does Samsung have something set up to bypass the system for what they think are emergencies?
I never seem to have an accidental dial of any other number, but these just seem to come out of the blue, all to 911.
