The Short and Sweet
I don't know one student who doesn't need a dictionary on them at all times. Memorizing all of the terminology, reference words, and vocab can be a chore. That's where the Dictionary.com app for Android comes in. It has an extensive database and also includes a Thesaurus and audio playback of words for proper pronunciation. And at the price of nothing, there's no reason not to get it.

I can't tell you how many times I use this app. My absolute favorite feature though, is the Word of the Day homescreen widget! It's great to be able to learn a new word each day with just the swipe of a thumb. It's a great tool for the High School/College student and as a future Philosophy professor, this app has become my bible. =)
